Exploiting my Visitor
What happens when a chef comes to stay with me for a week? Well, for starters, I get spoiled with amazing food, and second, I stick them in front of my camera. Everyone gets to play with the bear sword, and the other knife adds a little badassery (is too, a word) while tying in with the chef thing. Mmmm…chocolate coffee cinnamon pancakes…never had so much fun in my own kitchen!
Met Windows
Next installment: these were taken around the side of the Met…right outside the Temple of Dendur. The sun was not being particularly helpful, so I didn’t get as much reflection as I would have liked, but I still like the structure of the building…and I always enjoy walking across the park.
At the Met
Couldn’t resist one last shoot with Brittany, so we got up early and headed over to the Met for some dance shots.

Black and White Ballerina
Back to natural light for a few shots…there are times when ditching the lighting setup and going natural is so much better. I love transforming the feel of environments. This was shot in my apartment, which is usually not so great with daylight, but it’s all in the timing and settings. We’ll just leave the laundry I still need to put away out of the shot (Mom, don’t look at me like that)! Anyway, Brittany here is so elegant…I love how she adds to the dreamy effect.

Ballerinas Wear Combat Boots
My brother told me that ballerinas wear combat boots instead of pointe shoes when I was five. Looks like he was right! I had to snag Brittany again before she moves to D.C. More to come!
