A few more from shooting in the rain with Mari. Â I wanted to do something a little more fairy tale haunting with these, while showing her strength.

This is Mari. Â I met her on instagram, and we decided to set up a shoot in Carkeek Park. Â Of course, this being the Pacific Northwest, it poured. Â Didn’t stop us! Â We played in the rain and mud, while I awkwardly cradled an umbrella to protect the camera. Â She’s done ballet for a long time, and is now training to be an aerialist!

Ok, one more silly one!

Happy 2017, everyone!
This ivy is creeping slowly up my moms backyard fence. Â If you’ve been here awhile, you may remember I love ivy. Â Going to keep climbing and growing with my photos. Â Is there anything in particular you’d like to see?
I’m going to be shooting with more film this year. Â I do love the turnaround time that digital offers, but I miss that luscious grain and tone that film provides. Â Onward!

This model, Alysa, showed up to our shoot armed with goodies from Vecona, including this amazing striped dress, complete with bustle.

I held my first group shoot last Sunday, and it was FUN. Â I decided to do this as a response to the negativity many have experienced in 2016, and give people a boost.
By some miracle, the sun decided to appear, almost oppressively. Â We had a small, but very positive turnout with plenty of variety. Â These brave souls braved the cold at Gasworks Park and have allowed me to share these with you. Â Thanks all!
Speaking of permission to share images, something I encounter a lot is people feeling nervous that their pictures will end up where they don’t want them. Â Bottom line is, if people don’t want me to share their pictures, I won’t. Â As much as I’d love to show you the pictures of my niece from that day, she drew a boundary about being posted on the internet, and I respect that.
Might do this again in spring, when the cherry blossoms are out!
