David

Yes, it’s about time for some more man candy up in this joint…

David is an actor/model, and my second instagrammer.  It’s fun for me to meet and work with people I meet on instagram.  Anyway, he let me know that he was coming to Seattle last Tuesday, so we decided to get together and shoot.  Thankfully, he is a cat person, as Slinky pulled his usual diva stunts…

2 Year Blogiversary!

Well, well….here we are, two years later!  This one really flew for me.  It was a year of big change, as my husband and I moved to Seattle from NYC.  It’s definitely been a good change along with a big adjustment.  I’ve met amazing new faces, wrestled with pets to keep them out of every shot, continued on personal work, expanded the print shop by double, gotten up close and personal with nature, and generally enjoyed the beauty and culture of the Pacific Northwest.

I’ve also been doing a lot more drawing this year, and rediscovering watercolors, pastels, charcoals, and other wonderfully messy things.  Maybe I’ll start showing a little of that here as well.

Is there anything in particular you’d like to see more of from me?  And of course, if you’d like to set up your own photo shoot with me, please do so here:  Book a shoot with Liz

Thanks for hanging out with me here!

xoxo,

Liz

Rainy Day Dance

This is Mari.  I met her on instagram, and we decided to set up a shoot in Carkeek Park.  Of course, this being the Pacific Northwest, it poured.  Didn’t stop us!  We played in the rain and mud, while I awkwardly cradled an umbrella to protect the camera.  She’s done ballet for a long time, and is now training to be an aerialist!

Group Shoot Results

I held my first group shoot last Sunday, and it was FUN.  I decided to do this as a response to the negativity many have experienced in 2016, and give people a boost.

By some miracle, the sun decided to appear, almost oppressively.  We had a small, but very positive turnout with plenty of variety.  These brave souls braved the cold at Gasworks Park and have allowed me to share these with you.  Thanks all!

Speaking of permission to share images, something I encounter a lot is people feeling nervous that their pictures will end up where they don’t want them.  Bottom line is, if people don’t want me to share their pictures, I won’t.  As much as I’d love to show you the pictures of my niece from that day, she drew a boundary about being posted on the internet, and I respect that.

Might do this again in spring, when the cherry blossoms are out!

Camera Meditation

I’ve been spending a lot of time at Magnuson Park lately…plenty of space to run around, pretty much the best dog run ever, and sections of preserved wetlands.  Seattle, yes, has the rainy rep, but we’ve been gifted some pretty awesome weather lately.  Things are blooming and unfurling.  I took my camera today, with my macro lens.  I usually reserve that for product photography, but realized I wasn’t having nearly enough fun with it.  Took a very relaxing, meditative walk and ended up with these.
